ECOSLIDE 68
FAQ – ECOSLIDE 68
ECOSLIDE 68 is a high-performance, biodegradable slideway lubricant based on synthetic esters. It is specifically developed as an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional mineral-oil-based slideway oils.
- Biodegradable ester-based formulation
- Excellent stick-slip performance
- Enhanced EP (Extreme Pressure) and AW (Anti-Wear) protection
- Strong adhesion to guideway surfaces
- Effective rust protection
- Good demulsibility and compatibility with MWF fluids
- Alternative to conventional mineral oil slideway lubricants
Suitable for machine tool slideways/guideways, beds and columns of CNC and conventional machine tools, and applications requiring improved stick-slip control and surface finish.
Recommended operating range: -20 °C to +80 °C. Short-term peaks up to 110 °C.
Apply using conventional lubrication equipment. Ensure compatibility with seals, paints, and coatings. When converting from mineral oil, drain the system and flush if necessary.
Yes, it is readily biodegradable (OECD 301D > 60% within 28 days) and designed to minimize environmental impact.
Available in: 1 L, 5 L, 10 L, 20 L, 60 L, 200 L, and 1000 L containers.

Parameters
| Density at 15 °C | 0,913 ± 0,01 kg/m³ |
|---|---|
| Kin. viscosity at 40 °C | The viscosity of a fluid is a measure of its resistance to gradual deformation by shear stress or tensile stress. 61 - 75 cSt |
| Pour Point | The pour point of a liquid is the temperature below which the liquid loses its flow characteristics. < - 20 °C |
| Flash point | The lowest temperature at which enough vapor escapes from a heated sample above its surface into the air that the resulting mixture of vapor and air ignites when an auxiliary flame is brought close to it and then extinguishes again. > 250 °C |
| Viscosity index | The viscosity index (VI) indicates the change in kinematic viscosity of oils with temperature. A higher VI means less change in viscosity with temperature. BIONA bio-oils with a VI of up to 220. 170 |
| Biodegradability in 28 days | Biologically sufficiently rapid decomposition of oil without effect on fauna and flora. Biological decomposition monitored by dissolved oxygen analysis over 28 days. > 60 |
